Greer Blitzer hasactually come forward with an apology for her past words.
The season 27 Bachelor contestant shared a letter to her Jan. 24 Instagram Story, where she attendedto remarks she stated she made in defense of somebody who utilized Blackface.
“In my previous, I haveactually made some ignorant, oblivious and honestly, incorrect, remarks on my social media accounts,” the 24-year-old composed. “In specific, in 2016, I utilized misdirected arguments on Twitter to protect a trainee who dressed in Blackface as Tupac for Halloween.”
Blitzer continued, “I am deeply sorry to those I have injure, specifically those within the Black neighborhood, not because these screenshots have resurfaced, however since I ever shared those damaging viewpoints at all.”
The entrant, who is a medical sales associate from Houston, went on to state that her previous remarks puton’t align with her present self.
“Time and age wear’t reason my actions, however this is not a reflection of who I am today,” she composed. “I do not stand by or excuse the damaging viewpoints and habits I shared throughout that phase of my life and will permanently remorse making those offensive remarks.”
E! News reached out to ABC for remark, and did not hear back.
Blitzer’s message comes one day after the season 27 best for ABC’s The Bachelor aired on Jan.23 During the episode, Blitzer made the veryfirst impression increased from bachelor Zach Shallcross.
As for which ladies were sentout house? Shallcross did not offer roses to entrants Becca Serrano, Cara Ammon, Holland Parsons, Lekha Ravi, Madison Johnson, Olivia Lewis, Olivia Miller, Sonia Sharma, Vanessa Dinh and Viktoria Eichner.
Along with Blitzer, 19 other females stay in the mission for Shallcross’ heart.
The Bachelor airs Mondays at 8 p.m. on ABC.
