Stars Who Exited Hit TV Shows: Law & Order, Grey’s Anatomy & More
Kelli Giddish is leaving Law & Order: Special Victims Unit with a bang.
The starlet, who will make her last look on the NBC criminalactivity drama this week after 12 seasons on the reveal, is allset to walk down the aisle in sneak peek images from the psychological Dec. 8 episode.
In the sneakpeek, Giddish’s character Detective Amanda Rollins and her previous partner–turned–Assistant District Attorney Dominick “Sonny” Carisi—played by Peter Scanavino—are seen getting wed at the courthouse surrounded by her longtime partners Captain Olivia Benson (Mariska Hargitay), Sergeant Odafin “Fin” Tutuola (Ice-T) and Detective Joe Velasco (Octavio Pisano).
Dressed in a basic, long-sleeved white gown and holding a little arrangement of white flowers, a beaming Rollins flashes a giant smile throughout the intimate event. Another image reveals the couple stating “I do” in front of a judge with their pals behind them and Benson looking particularly touched by the weddings.
The images tip at rather the pleased ending for Giddish’s last episode, though fans are still questioning if Scanavino’s character will officially embrace Rollins’ 2 children.
Giddish revealed her exit from the long-running series in an Aug. 24 Instagram post.
“Playing Rollins hasactually been one of the biggest pleasures and benefits of my life,” she composed. “I’ve been so lucky to be a part of the Law & Order household for the last 12 years. There is just no other character on TELEVISION like Rollins. She’s grown and altered, and I have as well. I began on this program when I was in my late 20s and I’m grateful I got to invest so numerous of my adult years with Rollins in my life.”
“I desire to thank Dick Wolf, Mariska Hargitay, Warren Leight, Peter Jankowski, NBC, Universal Television, all of my co-stars, every single member on the team and all the authors here for our unbelievable work together these last 12 years,” she continued. “I’m so thrilled to take all the things I have foundout in my time on SVU and put them towards whatever that’s next to come….”
